What is a TexShare card?

Answer

A TexShare card is a way to expand your access to library resources throughout the state of Texas. There are 500+ institutions that participate in the program, ranging from small academic libraries to large, multi-branch public systems.

Students, staff, and faculty can obtain a TexShare card at BC Library as long as they have a valid, non-expired library account in good standing. This means:

  • No fines, fees, or outstanding payments on their account for lost or damaged books or other materials
  • Currently employed or registered with Brazosport College

Every institution that accepts TexShare will have different limitations on how borrowers can use their collection. It is a good idea to check with the library you plan to visit to see what their policy is.

For more information, including a link to the application for a TexShare card, see the attached LibGuide.
